Silas I. Harrington is licensed to practice law in California and Washington State and is a three-time graduate from the University of Washington in Seattle receiving his bachelor’s, law, and advanced tax (LLM) degrees from the school. As an undergraduate Mr. Harrington competed on the Husky crew team, where he won a National Championship title. He is a member of the school’s Husky Hall of Fame.

Mr. Harrington spent nearly 10 years providing in-house legal services to financial planning firms in downtown San Diego. In his role as in-house counsel for Greenbook Financial Services, Inc. (now known as Advanced Equities Wealth Management, Inc.), Mr. Harrington was responsible for three significant acquisitions, including a complex asset purchase from a bankruptcy estate. In 2006 Mr. Harrington assisted in the successful sale of Greenbook to Advanced Equities Financial Corp in Chicago. While employed in the financial services community, Mr. Harrington presented to thousands of financial professionals and their clients regarding business structuring, estate planning, and retirement planning and closely advised the firm’s pension operations which serviced over 1,000 qualified retirement plans.

Desiring to focus his attention on his community and the unmet legal needs of individuals and small business owners, Mr. Harrington left his corporate position and opened his practice in Escondido California in 2009. In his practice, Mr. Harrington enjoys offering creative, cutting-edge solutions in an intimate small firm setting.
